Terms of Service

Introduction

This service (“the Bot”) provides automated moderation, utility commands, security scanning, and guild‑management features for Discord communities. By inviting the Bot or using its dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service.

The Bot is designed to enhance server safety, reduce spam, and provide optional administrative tools. Server owners and administrators are responsible for configuring the Bot according to their community’s needs.

This service platform (“the Website”) provides a direct link to the configuration of the Bot and it's features in your Guild.

Features Covered by These Terms

These Terms apply to all current features of the Bot, including:

  • Anti‑raid detection and automated raid mitigation.
  • Spam filtering and message‑rate enforcement.
  • Unsafe link scanning using Google Safe Browsing.
  • Attachment safety filtering and extension blocking.
  • Moderation logging and event tracking.
  • User‑initiated commands (utility, fun, informational, etc.).
  • OAuth‑based dashboard authentication.
  • Guild‑level configuration stored in Postgres.
  • Blacklisting and automated enforcement actions.

User Data & Permissions

The Bot collects only the data required to operate its features, including:

  • Discord user ID.
  • Discord guild ID.
  • Messages flagged for moderation (unsafe links, spam bursts, forbidden attachments).
  • Guild configuration settings.
  • OAuth identity information (Discord ID, username) for dashboard login.

The Bot does not collect message history, private messages, or unnecessary personal information.

All data is stored securely and used exclusively for Bot functionality.

Automated Moderation

The Bot performs automated moderation actions when certain conditions are met.

Anti‑Raid Detection

  • Lock server channels.
  • Restrict @everyone permissions.
  • Flag or ban accounts created recently.
  • Notify moderators.
  • Log raid events.

Raid detection is based on join‑rate, account age, message bursts, and other behavioral signals.

Spam Filtering

  • Delete spam messages.
  • Timeout users.
  • Ban users during active raid mode.
  • Log spam events.

Unsafe Link Scanning

Messages containing URLs may be scanned using Google Safe Browsing. If a link is flagged as unsafe, the Bot may:

  • Delete the message.
  • Log the event.
  • Notify moderators.

Attachment Safety

Attachments are checked against a configurable forbidden extension list. Forbidden files may be:

  • Deleted.
  • Logged.
  • Reported to moderators.

Blacklisting Policy

The Bot includes a blacklisting system that allows server administrators to block:

  • Specific users.
  • Specific commands.
  • Specific file extensions.
  • Specific domains.
  • Specific behaviors (e.g., spam, raids).

User Blacklisting

Administrators may blacklist users from:

  • Using commands.
  • Accessing the dashboard.
  • Interacting with the Bot entirely.

Blacklisted users may receive automated enforcement actions such as:

  • Message deletion.
  • Timeout.
  • Kick or ban (if configured).

Command Blacklisting

Servers may disable or restrict commands on a per‑guild or per‑channel basis.

Domain Blacklisting

Servers may block domains manually in addition to automated unsafe link detection.

Extension Blacklisting

Servers may block file types (e.g., .exe, .bat, .jar) to prevent malicious attachments.

Enforcement Transparency

All blacklist actions are logged and visible to server administrators.

Jarvis Internal Security

Jarvis has internal security that monitors and prevents users and guilds from using Jarvis to disclose internal information it otherwise would not, commonly known as injection and/or other data breach techniques.

Once a breach is detected the responsible party is logged, and the action ignored, further attempts will result in a user or server being blacklisted.

Dashboard & OAuth Usage

The dashboard uses Discord OAuth2 to authenticate users. By logging in, you grant permission for the Website to:

  • Read your Discord ID and username.
  • Determine your guild permissions.
  • Allow you to configure guild settings.

The dashboard does not access private messages or sensitive account information.

Liability & Responsibility

The Bot is provided “as‑is” without warranty. Server administrators are responsible for:

  • Configuring moderation settings.
  • Reviewing logs.
  • Managing blacklists.
  • Ensuring compliance with Discord’s Terms of Service.

The Bot’s automated actions are based on heuristics and may occasionally produce false positives.

Prohibited Use

You may not use the Bot to:

  • Harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Automate abusive behavior.
  • Circumvent Discord’s rules.
  • Perform unauthorized data collection.
  • Modify or reverse‑engineer the Bot.

Violations may result in blacklisting or removal of access.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as new features are added. Continued use of the Bot constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
